Bilateral AP (with weights)

Patient position
Upright, back against IR.
Part position
Both shoulders in same plane, arms hanging straight.
Central ray
Horizontal, perpendicular to MSP at level of AC joints (2 in above jugular notch).
IR placement
35x43 cm crosswise.

Tech pearls

  • Weights should be 5–10 lb per side, attached to wrists (NOT held).
  • Always do bilateral for comparison.
