Begin prone; multiple rotations to coat then air-distend.

Part position

Barium first, then drained; air insufflated for double contrast.

Central ray

Iliac crest; PA axial sigmoid 30–40° caudal to ASIS.

IR placement

35x43 cm.

Tech pearls

Double contrast is superior for polyp detection.
Right lat decub: air rises to ascending colon.
