Patient position

Supine, knees flexed and supported (lithotomy on fluoro table).

Part position

MSP centered to midline of table; pelvis flat.

Central ray

Perpendicular to 2 in superior to symphysis pubis.

IR placement

II + spot films.

Tech pearls

Schedule day 7–12 of cycle — post-menses, pre-ovulation.
Confirm patient is not pregnant before exam.
