Patient position

Supine for AP; lateral recumbent for lateral.

Part position

MSP centered.

Central ray

AP sacrum: 15° cephalic to 2 in superior to symphysis. AP coccyx: 10° caudal to 2 in superior to symphysis. Lateral: perpendicular to mid-coronal plane.

IR placement

24x30 cm; separate for sacrum and coccyx.

Tech pearls

Have patient void before exam.
Lateral: place lead masking behind to absorb scatter.
