PA wrist with maximal ulnar deviation.
Central ray
Perpendicular OR 10–20° proximal to scaphoid.
IR placement
Small DR field centered to scaphoid.

Tech pearls

  • Stecher (3-position scaphoid) catches occult fractures.
  • Suspected scaphoid? Always order dedicated scaphoid series.
