Supine for AP; lateral recumbent for lateral.

Part position

Leg extended, foot dorsiflexed and supported.

Central ray

Perpendicular to mid-tibia.

IR placement

35x43 cm diagonally placed.

Tech pearls

Place IR diagonally for tall patients.
Use 72 in SID if needed to fit both joints.
