Needle entry at L3–L4 or L4–L5 interspace, midline.
Central ray
Lateral horizontal beam to needle hub for guidance.
IR placement
Fluoro field.

  • Always count vertebrae from L5–S1 to confirm level.
  • Use lowest pulsed fluoro rate possible.
