Per case — supine, prone, lateral, beach chair, etc.
Part position
Anatomy centered in C-arm field; surgeon directs.
Central ray
Per projection.

Tech pearls

  • Orient image so anatomical right = patient right (regardless of C-arm direction).
  • Always announce 'image' before exposure so staff can step back.
  • Drop intensifier toward patient, raise tube — reduces magnification AND scatter.
